What If?

What if a promising young actor had a stage to perform on? What if a gifted student could be the first in her family to attend college? What if a developing artist was handed a paintbrush? What if every child in our city had the opportunity to thrive? That’s why we’re here. Because, what if isn’t good enough.

Generations Connect

The Burlington Students Foundation has been taking local seniors out for a night on the town annually since 2003. BSF provides the transportation and pays for tickets so that our community’s elders can enjoy the Burlington High School fall musical each year. BHS honors students escort their guests to their seats and accompany them throughout the evening.

Play it Forward

Since 2008 the Burlington Students Foundation has purchased tickets for any and all Burlington middle school-aged students who attend the Burlington High School fall musical. Everybody wins! Families enjoy a wonderful evening of inexpensive entertainment, funds are generated to support BHS drama, actors get to share their talents with the wider community and middle schoolers catch drama fever.

Unified Sports Program

Kids of all abilities joined together in sport and comradery in a program piloted at Champlain Elementary School in spring 2011. Students were coached in bocce and competed in a state-wide tournament. They grew to appreciate each others’ unique strengths and learned how every individual contributes to make a team. The program is expected to grow and eventually include students from all of Burlington’s elementary and middle schools.

Corinne Crawford Scholarships

Alexis Kirby, Yanbin Zhang, Chiaki Imamura and Amir Pasic are just a few of the Burlington High School scholars who have received assistance from the Crawford fund through the College Connections and Linking Learning to Life programs. These students will have a great chance at succeeding in college and beyond.
